Wife of Ikemba Nnobi, Dr Mrs Thelma Ezeonu has paid unscheduled visit to state owned General hospital Nnobi decried poor attitude to work by the state civil servants saying that absence of Doctors, Pharmacist and nurses is unhelpful in the 21st century.  

Dr Thelma who arrived General hospital Nnobi around 11:32 am said that she was not happy that she got to the Government General Hospital and after waiting for over one hour, found only a lady who read Health Education a one causal worker at the hospital.

She noted that absence of doctors and nurses in the hospital is uncalled-for and certainly will not be tolerated. The civil service should be business-like and efficient in service delivery” adding, that it takes two minutes for a patient to die in case of emergency. 

Meanwhile, High Chief Emeka Hamilton Ezeonu who was on ground during the visit stressed on the importance of good medical care services to the people. He stated that there is an urgent need for drastic shift from old practices that have taken our state nowhere. 

Dr Thelma Ezeonu while touring various departments in the hospital, asked the causal workers present about their routines and what they needed to render better services to the public.

Dr Thelma Ezeonu however during her impromptu visit to inspect facilities at the General Hospital at Nnobi, promised to renovate the dilapidated doctors quarters, charged Engr Chinedu to ensure that the renovation work will be completed before Easter.
