Amucheazi, Onyemaobi, Others Inaugurate Dunukofia Ward Palliative Steering Committee.

Following the directives of Mr. Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the Commissioner for Land, Professor Offornze Amucheazi as the Chairman, Dunukofia Palliative Steering Committee and the LG TC Chairman, Mr. Onyemaobi Augustine Nonyelum as the Co-Chairman convened an inaugural meeting of Ward Palliative Steering Committee in Dunukofia LGA, held in the office of the LG Chairman, Dunukofia LG Council Secretariat, Ukpo. .

The just inaugurated committee is made up of Ward Councilors who will now work as Chairmen of the Palliative Steering Committee in their various Wards. Upon inauguration, these Councillors were directed to as a matter of urgency go to their various Wards and inaugurate Ward Palliative Steering Committees.


The Ward Palliative Steering Committee shall include the community President General, Chairmen of the villages under the ward, Catholic and Anglican Priests, and others they may deem fit according to ward peculiarities.


In their separate speeches, Professor Amucheazi and Mr. Onyemaobi directed the the newly inaugurated ward palliative committee Chairmen to carryout these assignments peacefully and in unity. They were charged to carry everyone along to avoid any complaints during and after the distribution cum sharing of the Palliatives as would be released by the Anambra State Government.

Other top government officials who are members of the LG Steering Committee and were present included; the Member representing Dunukofia in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Chuks AZOTANI, the MD/CEO of Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA), Engr. Emeka Konti Komplete Okonkwo, the Dunukofia LG Party Chairman, Chief Emeka Okonkwo, and others.


These government officials in their separate speeches also tasked the newly inaugurated ward Chairmen of the steering committee to be diligent in discharging their duties, and to give peace and unity a chance, while also make sure that the targeted persons get these palliatives as directed by the Governor.
