Zero Poverty Rate Possible For Anambra

Zero Poverty Rate Possible For Anambra By Izuchukwu Adichie When we talk about targeting a “zero poverty rate”, we should agree that Soludo is the first Anambra governor who genuinely and intentionally built his administration on the premise of ending poverty in the state, which is why today, this government has developed programs and policies and has continuously performed actions that are targeted at uplifting poor homes out of poverty, thereby, creating more millionaires. Soludo is not just building for today, he is also building Anambra for tomorrow, and the future unborn. So when people argue how impossible it is to achieve a zero poverty rate, I recall this is a man in addition to the consolidation of the banks, helped grow the external reserve from $10 billion to an all-time high of $62 billion. This record can't be broken, which is why, ex-Presidents; Obasanjo and Yar’Aduda wrote him commendation letters. The empathic Soludo is visiting forgotten communities and taking dev

EDOZIE NJOKU IS NOT A MEMBER OF APGA; HE IS AN IMPOSTER, SAYS EZEOKENWA. By Dr. Tony Olisa Mbeki. The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has asserted that Edozie Njoku, a claimant for the position of National Chairman of APGA, is not a member of the party. Ezeokenwa made this assertion during an appearance on TVC's Politics Tonight. The National Chairman affirmed, "Edozie Njoku is not a member of APGA. If he were, let him show his membership card signed by Victor Ike Oye. We cannot reconcile with a non-member of APGA. The party conducted membership validation in 2019, and according to records, Edozie Njoku did not visit his ward for such validation, and thus, he is not a member of APGA." The APGA National Chairman emphasized that Chief Edozie Njoku went to three courts, using proxies, to seek an interpretation of the Supreme Court ruling. He sought to be declared the Chairman of the party. However, the apex court affirme

IDEMILI SOUTH LGA 2023 YOUTH/WOMEN EMPOWERMENT, PRESENTATION OF START UP KITS/EQUIPMENT AND COMMISSIONING OF VARIOUS COMPLETED PROJECTS IN THE LG. The Idemili South LG under my leadership has made concerted efforts to provide training and skill development opportunities for  youths, women equipping them with valuable skills that will enable them to secure gainful employment and become entrepreneurs in their respective fields. In the words of Mr Governor, “the Primary need of the youth is Jobs! Jobs! and quality Jobs! …” adopted from A People’s Manifesto For A Greater Anambra Pg 41 . Prof SOLUDO has further proven this by empowering no fewer than 5000 youths from the 21 local government areas of Anambra State with N2 billion start-up capital In a one youth, and two skills programmes initiated by the state government.  Following this audacious move by Mr Governor  on the 1st December 2023, I shall be empowering the people of Idemili south who has passed through Four Months of an intensi

SOLUDO’S UNUSUAL PRIORITIES

Image
SOLUDO’S UNUSUAL PRIORITIES  By Mazi Ejimofor Opara,  Governor Soludo is one out of few leaders who think on their feet and on-the-go. He further vocalizes his goals and shares them with people around him long before they happen.  In the days long before he declared to contest for Anambra governorship election of 2021, I mean the days when I was newly admitted into the “Soludo College of Leadership Studies”. I had rare moments with him at the breakfast table, and sometimes, an evening masterclass over freshly roasted “Oka na Ube” bought from Afor-Uzor Market in Isuofia. Those were the days leading to my eventual initiation as a “Soludo Apostle”. Of course I have my Seniors in this Apostpleship, and they can bear witness to the fact that Prof. Soludo is a teacher-mentor indeed.  “Ejimofor, the truth is, when I pray I don’t ask God to bless me. That will amount to ingratitude. I have been immensely blessed by God, that all I ask of him is, ‘use me in this remaining part of my life, what

INSPECTOR LUCKY OKEY'S DEATH: ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT DENIES NEGLECT...FAMILY THANKS GOVERNOR SOLUDO!

Image
INSPECTOR LUCKY OKEY'S DEATH: ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT DENIES NEGLECT...FAMILY THANKS GOVERNOR SOLUDO! The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has extended his sincere condolences to the family of the late Inspector Lucky Okey who just passed on.  Before his death, Mr. Okey was a police officer who served as part of the governor's security convoy until he was involved in an unfortunate accident in August this year.  However, it is with concern that we address the fallacious claims made in an online report by one faceless ‘Marshall’ regarding the sad incident involving Mr. Okey.  The report falsely insinuated neglect on the part of Governor Charles Soludo, alleging abandonment and a lack of proper medical care leading to Inspector Okey's tragic passing.  Contrary to these baseless claims, Governor Soludo actually provided full support and assistance throughout Inspector Okey’s medical ordeal. All necessary medical attention and care were promptly administered to M

The “poor people’s governor”

Image
The “poor people’s governor” (Goovno umu ogbenye) By Izuchukwu Adichie I was moved to tears, but I had to control myself not to be overtaken by tears of joy. It was an emotional moment at the Emmaus House, Awka, as I watched Soludo make an entrance into the arena where over five (5) thousand elderly, vulnerable, and disabled persons had gathered for a special session with this compassionate and transformative governor. For Soludo, there is something special about him, natural and unscripted, wherever he goes, the people, mothers, young people, and the downtrodden who have benefited from his good governance will gather to sing his praise, compose instant songs, dance for him, and give him feedback about his government program. So when the chant of the “POOR PEOPLE’S GOVERNOR (GOOVNO UMU OGBENYE)” kept chanting on the air thunderously, I knew these things were natural. Because he has a passion for lifting people out of poverty and putting smiles on the faces of the people, he is intenti

SOLUDO CELEBRATES THE ELDERLY, VULNERABLE AND DISABLED, EULOGIZE ARTHUR EZE AT 75 By Christian ABURIME Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo says his government will continue to formulate policies for the weak and vulnerable in the state. Governor Soludo gave the assurance during Inter-denominational service organized by the state government to celebrate the elderly, vulnerable, and people living with disabilities, as well as the 75th birthday of Prince Engr. Arthur Eze.  The event was held at the Emmaus House in Awka. In his speech, Governor Soludo praised Engr. Eze for living a life of service to the poor and vulnerable, saying that he has lived a life of impact, charity, philanthropy, as unto God. Governor Soludo stated that his government is intentional about leaving no one behind, which is why his policies are largely for the poor. He noted that his government kicked off with infrastructural development at Okpoko, saying that he is committed to bringing light, dev

GOVERNOR SOLUDO TO INTERACT WITH THE ELDERLY, VULNERABLE AND PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES TODAY

Image
GOVERNOR SOLUDO TO INTERACT WITH THE ELDERLY,  VULNERABLE AND PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES TODAY By Christian ABURIME  As part of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo's demonstration of practical commitment to the poor, down-trodden and forgotten members of the community, he will be interacting with these categories of people today in Anambra state. This will be an opportunity for the Governor to hear from  the aged and Elderly including the disability community about their experiences, challenges and of course, ways of making life meaningful for them. The event will take place today; Mon. 27th November, 2023 at 11:00 am. This event poses to offer a productive and insightful interaction with the disabled community. This is another practical side of Governor Soludo’s compassionate and empathetic disposition to the downtrodden and less privilege people in the society.  A Governor with a special heart for the people you would say! Solution is not only here, it is spreading round!

Soludo to meet with elderly, vulnerable, and disabled persons

Image
Soludo to meet with elderly, vulnerable, and disabled persons By Izuchukwu Adichie Today at Emmaus House, Soludo will be meeting with the elderly, vulnerable, and disabled persons this is in line with the APGA government’s policy of being our brothers and sisters’ keepers. He has a special interest in these people, he is moved by their plight and he wants to make sure no one is left behind, no matter how weakly placed. Soludo, a man of transformation and compassion, has a passion for taking care of the most vulnerable. It is evident in the actions and programs his administration has put in place to uplift the people and put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable. In building a prosperous homeland where everyone will enjoy happily, inclusion matters. Being the first time since the creation of Anambra state, a Governor will be meeting with the elderly, vulnerable, and disabled persons, this inclusion matters program will have Prince Arthur Eze na Ukpo as a distinguished guest of honor. Soludo’s trip to OLUMBANASA. A greater joy, peace, and hope have come for the people

Image
Soludo’s trip to OLUMBANASA. A greater joy, peace, and hope have come for the people. By Izuchukwu Adichie Yes! Soludo has become the first ever elected Anambra governor since the creation of the state to visit OLUMBANASA, an Island community in Anambra West. An agrarian community whose major parts of the town are deserted due to an aged-long communal crisis, and a forgotten town with no electricity, hospital, or portable water and lacks access to quality education, a good life, and access to tarred roads. For Soludo, it is not about being the first governor to visit Olumbanasa, but what becomes the community after his visit, because the people have endlessly been groaning in pain and suffering for decades due to the lack of government presence. Now that the Solution has come, he has made it a duty, that no place in Anambra, no matter how weakly they are placed will be left behind, for our party APGA is built on the principle of leaving no one behind. This Soludo’s emotional-laden vis

SOLUDO ON A BOAT, THEN KEKE AND OKADA, AS HE VISITS NEGLECTED ANAMBRA COMMUNITIES

Image
SOLUDO ON A BOAT, THEN KEKE AND OKADA, AS HE VISITS NEGLECTED ANAMBRA COMMUNITIES By Christian ABURIME Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, literally showed the milk of kindness, care, empathy and compassion as leader when he took a trip to Olumbanasa, a community hidden in Anambra West Council Area of Anambra State.  No Governor in the history of Anambra has dared this adventure. None, as matter of fact, has visited these neglected communities.  One striking thing about the trip was the fact that Governor Soludo could have opted to embark on the trip by helicopter, because of the difficult terrain. No! He  chose to go by boat; this, in his words is for him to appreciate what ndị Anambra living there, go through on a daily basis. A trip of more than two hours on the river Niger. But, as expected, the journey was filled with excitement, anticipation and a sense of adventure and most importantly, it afforded the Governor the opportunity to play host to the communities' stakeholder

SOLUDO PAYS GLOWING TRIBUTES AS HE BIDS FAREWELL TO FORMER GOVERNOR CHINWOKE MBADINUJU, SAYS HE WAS  A GIANT WHO LEFT AN ENDURING LEGACY By Christian ABURIME Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has described former Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju as a giant who left an enduring legacy in the state. Governor Soludo paid the tributes to his predecessor, who passed away at the age of 77 during his final burial ceremony. The Governor attended the Inter-denominational Church Service held in honour at his country home in Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State. Governor Soludo, in his speech consoled the family again and the people of Uli, saying that Anambra mourns the passing of a great soul and a gift that Anambra bequeathed to the world. Governor Soludo highlighted Oder

SOLUDO IS A TRUE EMBODIMENT OF NIGERIA- OONI OF IFE

SOLUDO IS A TRUE EMBODIMENT OF NIGERIA- OONI OF IFE By Christian ABURIME The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has described Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo as a true Nigerian. The Ooni was speaking when he paid a visit to the Governor at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia. According to the Monarch, Governor Soludo has tried to live his life as a true Nigerian ambassador, representing the country in both character and attire. The Ooni eulogized the glorious days of Governor Soludo at the Central Bank of Nigeria which eventually gave rise to the consolidation of banks in the country. He encouraged the Governor to continue his selfless service to Anambra State in particular and Nigeria at large. Recieving the Monarch, Governor Soludo said that the likes of the Ooni is needed for national healing in this critical challenging time of Nigeria's nationhood. The Governor described him as the most travelled king and encouraged him to keep being the bridge b

REFLECTIONS

Image
REFLECTIONS: This symbolic bronze Art carving was presented to Soludo by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi during his course visit at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, on Thursday night. The Art frame which has the symbol of a hunter standing on a rock represents the most successful hunter who worked his tails off to acquire new land and tirelessly aimed to make his hunting grounds better.  This simply tells the true story of Soludo whose vigor and resilience have produced good results in the past and left an indelible mark in the Central Bank of Nigeria as a Governor, and now is in Anambra his home state to transform the homeland as a destination lounge for business, and relaxation, to uplift the vulnerable and put smiles on the faces of the people. This gift tells it all, in Soludo’s days in CBN, the people doubted his reform but he never relented, today Nigerians are reaping the benefits of his glorious days. He is now building Anambra state not just for today but for the future a

A PEEP INTO ANAMBRA FROM BEIJING…

Image
A PEEP INTO ANAMBRA FROM BEIJING…  Even from China I see a lot happening in Anambra that continues to excite me. Just this week Governor Soludo presented the draft bill of the 2024 budget document to the State Assembly signaling a “Change of Gear” in Anambra’s journey towards a liveable and prosperous homeland; he also joined other eminent Ndi Anambra at a commendation service/state burial in honour of erstwhile Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju. Yesterday, he was on Channels TV to, as usual, engage in a post-budget presentation analysis with the ever restless Seun Okinbaloye. Then, later last night, he received the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adewusi at the Governor’s lodge, Amawbia, who came bearing symbolic artifacts I would later write about. I stayed up against the unfavourable time zoning system to keep tabs with, for the most part, a part of this remarkable events dotting the Goversnor’s work driven itinerary.  The outing on Channels TV was excellent. The more Seun pushed f

Governor Soludo recalled the challenges that Anambra faced during Dr. Mbadinuju's tenure as Governor, including widespread insecurity and economic hardship.  He praised his efforts to address these challenges, including the establishment of the state Vigilante
