The day, August 27, 2022 may have come and gone, but for us ndi-Anambra and all the residents, it will go down in history as one of the proudest moments in our lives, especially in recent history of Anambra State. As stated, it will remain an indelible mark of double celebrations, double blessings and a great moment for the administration of governor Chukwuma Soludo who is just 5-months in office.

Marking 31 years of existence; in other-words, 31 years since the creation of the state was eventful, moreso divinely coincidental happening at the same time with the creation of Cardinal Peter Ebelechukwu Okpaleke at the 2022 Consistory in Rome, thus making this year’s August a standout year for Anambra state which under this government have been on the path of a new dawn and a new beginning with the governor the visionary tool to bringing the greatest good to ndi-Anambra.

Evidently, his faithfulness to God and oath of allegiance to the people on assumption remains a guiding principle he is desirous to keep.

Additionally the month of August will remain a proud moment for ndi-Okpoko who are looking forward to the day the Anambra’s largest urban slum will become part of the Liveable homeland. With the clearing of debris and sakamori which has taken part of 70% land mass of the slum already activated, this administration has fully commenced urban regeneration of the slum by approving the rehabilitation of 9 roads measuring 14.053 kilometers with dual carriage, reinforced concrete and sidewalks on both sides in the area.

This administration has responded to the people’s yearning that the state merited a befitting Government house and Governor’s lodge, at age, 31. With the recent approval of memo on the abandoned government house and 25 other peripheral structures, the project which will be completed within 18 months is strategic.

While ndi-Anambra marked and celebrated the 31 years Anniversary and creation of Cardinal Okpaleke, the administration approved the full scale destiling and dredging of 62, 034 cubic meters of Nwangene drainage which has been a source of nightmare to road users and also approved the rehabilitation of failed carriage way and Mmili John section of Oba-Ojoto road and the dredging of Mmili John.

Indeed, in the midst of double celebration, the Anambra state government under governor Soludo continues to build. In Anambra, we are in for a good time, I can assure you all. Welcome to a new Anambra.
