Health Commissioner hails Global Fund’s RSSH grant to the State

Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike has hailed the Global Fund’s Resilient and Sustainable System for Health (RSSH) grant to the state.
Dr. Obidike gave the commendation when received the stakeholders from the Global Fund RSSH grant in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka.
The commissioner expressed joy that the four thematic areas under the RSSH grant include; Community Systems Strengthening and Integrated Service Delivery/Quality Improvement (CSS&ISD/QI), Health Information Management Systems (HMIS), Laboratory Systems and Product and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) will help the state to improve.
He assured them that the State Government through his Ministry would provide the necessary support that will help in domesticating the Global Fund’s RSSH grant.
According to him, the administration of Gov. Charles Soludo is committed to a fruitful partnership that will help improve the health of Ndi Anambra as well as ensure Universal Health Coverage for all.
Mr. John Adedoyin who is the leader of the team, Acting Project Coordinator for COVID-19 RM, RSSH said their activities were supported by Global Fund with a focus on HIV, Tuberculosis (TB), and Malaria.
``So, the essence of this visit is to engage, and brainstorm with the state since we are supporting states across Nigeria to develop systems that will enable them to implement programs in HIV, TB, and Malaria.
``This will enable them to reach out to more people, provide them with services and as well improve the general health system in the state.
``We will empower the state so that they can be able to implement activities, achieve their objectives and goals.’’
Mr. Adedoyin noted that they would be working with the Community Health Influencers, Promoters, and Services on Community Systems Strengthening and Integrated Service Delivery/Quality Improvement in the state. (MOI)
