Soludo Inaugurates Anambra Human Capital Development Technical Working Group

As part of his administration's efforts to improve human capital development in the state, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has inaugurated the state's Human Capital Development Technical Working Group, this as to improve health and nutrition, education and skill acquisition among indigenes and residents in the state.
Holding brief for Mr Governor during the inauguration, the state Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, while inaugurating members of the group in his office at the Government House, Awka, on Thursday, October 27, 2022 informed that there is work to do, tasking them to identify gaps in human capital development and alert the state government for necessary action to be taken.
Dr Ibezim Noted that human capital development is one of the major agendas of Mr Governor, revealing that it reflected in his manifesto and also in Vision 2070. He affirmed that it is for this reason the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planing was made the focal person, warning that anyone that is found wanting will be removed.
Mr Deputy Governor, charged them to get real time report of what is happening, expressing hopes to be fed with real time contribution from members of the group to enable the state to act accordingly in ensuring improved human capital development in the state.
In her remarks, the focal person for the Technical Working Group, and the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planing, Chiamaka Nnake, stated that human capital development is one of the national programmes that was cascaded to states, towards improving human capital development, declaring that it will improve Health and Nutrition, Education and Skill acquisition for Ndi Anambra.
She stated further, that each of the ministries of Education, Health and ICT will inaugurate technical committee, to enable the state to take the lead towards achieving national mandate, concluding that ministry of Budget and Economic Planing will be coordinating other ministries.
