TC CHAIRMAN OF IDEMILI SOUTH,HON OBI FLAGS-OFF SKILL ACQUISITION TRAINING FOR WOMEN

 WOMEN ARE THE REAL ARCHITECTS OF THE SOCIETY- HON. OBI STATED AS SHE FLAG-OFF SKILLS ACQUISITION TRAINING AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT.

The Transition Chairperson of Idemili South Local Government, Hon. Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) has flagged off skills acquisition programme and women empowerment for umu Idemili south local government. 

As part of her effort to create employment for umu Idemili south, council boss stated that her target was to lift umu Idemili out of unemployment and the programme would go a long way in making the beneficiaries self-reliant.

The vocational skills include: 

Nylons production and packaging, 


Backery of different types.


Bid slippers and necklace production, 


Cosmetic,facial make-up training, 


Production of other Confectioneries.

According to council boss; I started from catering and bakery, I can tell you that there is profit in it.

She further said that, Governor Charles Soludo had been empowering umu Anambra and we are following his good step. After the training, they will be empowered to be self-reliant 

While Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon. Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne commmended council boss for her tenacity in achieving greatness.

"You need to know the spices that makes business to grow which are the zeal and humility, prayer is also very important. Don't waste this opportunity because such opportunity is rare to find. We are encouraging you people to go and make us proud"-he said.

 Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment, Hon. Don Onyeji appealed the beneficiaries not to take it for granted. Looking good is good business, We are going back to our culture. Eat well, cook well, behave well.



The outstanding former commissioner for Basic Education, Prof. Kate Omenugha and her husband Doctor Omenugha were also present during the flag-off.

APGA candidate for Idemili South House of Assembly, Barrister Ebuka Igwe aforesaid that the skills acquisition is very important especially to women and Idemili South will be great again with the capacity leaders we have now in Idemili.
