If We Don't Pass Judgement Well, Greater Judgement Awaits us - Soludo

The Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has called on the members of the Judiciary to pass judgement well, especially during this election period when the masses are looking for justice.
Mr Governor made this call on Friday, November 18, 2022, during the thanksgiving service to mark the Anambra State Judiciary 2022/2023 legal year, at Cathedral Church of St Faith Anglican Communion, Awka.
Speaking during the service, Prof Soludo ably represented by his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim said that " as a leader, speak when you are to speak; show emotions when you are to show; empathy when you are to show and act when you are to" noting that failure to pass judgement well, that greater Judgement awaits us.
He charged the members of the Judiciary to stand firm, especially during these perilous times when people are crucified for speaking the truth, urging them to stand with the truth in this election time when the masses are seeking justice at the ballots.
In his address, the Hon Chief Judge Anambra State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, assured that they will discharge their duties without fear or favour, appreciating the State EXCO led by the Governor for coming to be with them.
In his sermon, the Archbishop of the Niger and Bishop, Diocese of Awka, His Grace Most Rev'd Alexander Ibezim PhD, warned that if the judiciary fails the nation has failed, he queried the continued detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, when the court has ordered his release, encouraging the members of the judiciary to be consistent in dispensing judgement and never to be intimidated.
In attendance were Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Uche Okafor PhD, and other EXCO members, including Commissioner for Lands, Prof. Elochukwu Amaucheazi, Commissioner for Special Duties, Barr Sly Ezeokenwa, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Office of the Deputy Governor, Ugochukwu Obiefuna, among others
