ANAMBRA STATE PHYSICAL PLANNING Removes Structure Sitting On Drainage Channels

In a bid to sustain the Solution Mantra of a prosperous, livable and smart homeland. The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government, Hon Amaka Obi has led the team of State Joint Task Force to remove illegal Structures sitting on drainage channel at Alor community by the Anambra State Physical Planning Board. 


The Agency said that the illegal structures constitute a lot of problem in the society such as building structures on the top of drainage channels. 



Speaking to the newsmen Hon Amaka Obi called on the community President Generals (PGs) to checkmate this ugly situation, which according to her will wreak havoc and affect the free flow of water in the area.


She urged well-meaning Ndị Idemili South to help government by avoid building of structures and indiscriminate dumping of refuse into the drainage channel while expressing optimism that a Greater Idemili is achievable.

Also speaking, the President General of Alor People's Convention, Chief Emma Ojukwu blamed the victim for failing to heed to the various notices served on her by the Town Union before the demolition.

The Executive Secretary of Anambra State Physical Planning Board Idemili South Chapter, Ms Chika Nwachukwu who was on ground to monitored the exercise, said that one of the key objectives of the Soludo administration is to build a peaceful, livable and prosperous homeland to aid rapid growth and development  across the entire local Government.


She urged residents in the area to avoid raising Structures on Drainage Channels to avoid future demolition. 

Others Stakeholders present include Chief Ozo Ugochukwu Akuchukwu and Ozo mma Alor.
