IDEMILI SOUTH COUNCIL CHAIR, AMAKA OBI TOURS SEAMAN RICE MILL

.......urges Ndi Anambra To Embrace Think Home Philosophy

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Council Area, Hon Obi Amaka Iyom  has taken a tour around Seaman Rice Processing Mill Nnobi, Anambra State with CEO Seaman Group High Chief Emeka Agbanari MFR.


The visit was in line with Governor Soludo mission to develop the tourism industry in Anambra and also in concordance with the Think Home Philosophy. 


Speaking during the tour, Chief Agbanari noted that the project is a “dream come true” and deem it necessary to build the gigantic industry in his country home Nnobi.


He remarked that at the completion of the Multi Million Dollar Project which will give over 5,000 direct and indirect jobs to the youths and therefore reducing the rate of unemployment and other social vices amongst the youths and thus enhancing the GDP of Anambra State and with production of 50,000 metric tonnes of rice yearly.



Engr Ibeawuchi Bartholomew who is the Engineer i/c of the project explained that the Rice Mill is been constructed to meet with other Rice Processing Mill in the country and will be one of it's kind in the country at completion and he assured that the project will be completed by December, 2023.


Also speaking, Hon Amaka Obi, commended Chief Agbanari for heeding to the Aku lue uno call, said that the project is pretty impressive, 

 a great asset for our state, not just for the Idemili South council area but the Southeast as a whole and is going to provide massive job opportunity to the people.

She, however, urges Ndị Anambra in Home and Diaspora to embrace the Aku lue uno call and invest at home, in order to maintain a sustainable development in the state.


Present during the tour were Secretary of Idemili South Local Government, Hon Ofido Evaristus Omega, ward councilor's and APGA ward chairman of Nnobi II, Hon Uzochukwu Ejigbalu
