In his quest to build greater formidable party structure and maintain APGA dominance in Dunukofia LGA, the Transition Chairman of Dunukofia LGA, Mayor Onyemaobi Augustine Nonyelum (Ancestor) on Wednesday, 16th August, 2023 hosted all the Dunukofia LG executives, five principal executives of each of the 14 Wards across the Local Government Area and the 14 ward councillors. The strategic meeting was officially convened at the Council Hall of the Local Government Secretariat, Ukpo, through the Dunukofia Party Chairman, Chief Patrick Emeka Okonkwo (Ezesinachi).


In his speech, Hon. Onyemaobi commended the executives for honoring the meeting as convened while, he also appreciated their steadfast in discharging their various roles in the party so far.

Speaking further, he urged the executives both at the LG and Ward levels, including other leaders of the party to work in unity, love and perseverance, while also advocated for mutual respect for one another in other to achieve resounding results in boosting the party more.



The LG Chairman describing APGA Dunukofia as one indivisible big family whose dominance in the Local Government Area has lasted for over 17 years, a unique political party well known for setting the pace in Dunukofia political system said, that the party is well and highly structured in the grassroot to accommodate every interest, and that it's the duty of the executives to ensure smooth running of its affairs accordingly, thereby clamp down on every form of abnormalities, irregularities and selfishness that may come up in the party. He added that the party executives should channel their focus, energy and strength towards the promotion of the party, APGA, and desist from placing individual political activities above the party, as the party is supreme and mother of all, accommodating all our interests as one political platform. He urged the party executives to develop self-worth before the public to avoid what we call 'see finish', noting that in life, one is addressed according to his or her dressing cum appearance.


In conclusion, the Dunukofia Mayor promised to finance the party every month with a certain amount of money starting from the month of September to ensure uninterrupted monthly meetings and rekindle the APGA mantra cum spirit, "Onye Aghana Nwanne Ya" in Dunukofia LGA. He also pledged to fix the party's LG Secretariat to be more conducive for party activities which he said will be best among others


The meeting was well attended by the LG Party Chairman, all LG executives, all ward chairmen, secretaries, youth leaders, women leaders, councillors and other stakeholders.


The meeting ended with loads of refreshments, accompanied with a token to take care of transportation fair.
