National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa today, joined other great sons of Igbo land at the World Igbo Day celebration held at Enugu.
The elated APGA National Chairman, wrote
"Today, I attended the World Igbo Day celebration in Enugu. It was an absolute honour to be a part of such a vibrant and culturally rich event.
The event afforded Ndi Igbo the opportunity to showcase their deep-rooted traditions and heritage through breathtaking performances, captivating music, and mesmerizing dance routines. The energy was simply electrifying!
I was truly amazed to witness the strength and unity of Ndi Igbo as they came together to celebrate their unique history and contribute to the preservation of their language and customs.
The highlight of the event for me was listening to some inspiring speeches that emphasized the importance of developing Alaigbo and tackling its challenges head-on. It was a reminder of the power and can-do spirit that lie within our roots.
It was a delight to be in the midst of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyawu; the Chairman of the occasion, Prince Engr Arthur Eze; the Governor of Anambra State, Professor CC Soludo, CFR; the host Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah of Enugu State; as well as the Deputy Governors of Imo and Ebonyi, Prof Placid Njoku and Mrs. Patricia Obila, respectively, among other prominent Igbo personalities."
"The Igbo leaders' key message revolved around the themes of Igbo Unity, the urgent need to fast-track the development of Ala Igbo (the Igbo land), and the imperative of ensuring the security of Igboland."
