[Awka] The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, today, received in audience, members of the NIGERIA Union of Journalists, Anambra State Chapter, during a courtesy visit at the Regional Secretariat in Awka.
Ezeokenwa took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Nigerian Union of Journalists for their relentless commitment to promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance through their diligent reporting.
Recognizing the vital role journalists play in society, specifically in disseminating accurate and timely information to the public, Ezeokenwa advocated for continuous collaboration and assured the Nigerian Union of Journalists that APGA, as the foremost political party and true progressive movement of the people, is committed to upholding press freedom and protecting the rights of journalists.
During the engaging discourse, the APGA National Chairman provided insightful perspectives on the progressive agenda and policies that APGA aims to implement, ensuring sustainable development, promoting grassroots empowerment, and creating an enabling environment for the people of Anambra and Nigeria at large. In turn, the journalists posed thought-provoking questions and shared valuable insights, striving to provide comprehensive coverage of the political landscape for the betterment of their readership.
Amidst the interaction, Ezeokenwa reiterated the importance of ethical journalism, highlighting its significant influence on shaping public perception.
