Soludo investment in education can end poverty

By Izuchukwu Adichie

There is a popular saying that any nation that wants to fix its incidence of poverty should first fix its education system. Education is critical to development as qualitative education will empower people with the required knowledge and critical skills to create opportunities for sustainable and viable economic growth now and into the future.

For Soludo, Education is the best way out of poverty in part because it is strongly linked to economic growth that is why his government is intentionally reducing the incidence of poverty through access to qualitative and free education that is truly free in all government-owned schools, recruitment, training, and retraining of quality teachers, and rebuilding and upgrading basic school infrastructures to meet modern world standards.
