[Otuocha] - The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has reiterated the crucial role of football in creating a brighter future for Nigerian youth. His remarks were made during the ANAMBRA East Football Tournament finale match between Nando and Nsugbe at Otuocha Stadium, hosted by the Anambra State Commissioner for Power, Engr. Julius Nnaemeka.


Highlighting the tremendous impact of football on the lives of young Nigerians, Barr. Ezeokenwa emphasized its significance in fostering personal development, promoting teamwork, instilling discipline, and nurturing ambitions. He acknowledged that the sport of football has long been an influential force in shaping the lives of Nigerian youths, providing immense opportunities for growth and advancement.

As part of APGA's commitment to the development and empowerment of Nigerian youths, Barr. Ezeokenwa reaffirmed the party's unwavering support for initiatives that promote and nurture the talent and potential of young athletes. "APGA recognizes the important role of sports, particularly football, in fostering unity, national pride, and socio-economic growth."

The APGA National Chairman expressed his gratitude to the Commissioner for Power for hosting the ANAMBRA East Tournament, highlighting the positive impact of such events in fostering a sense of community and encouraging excellence in both sportsmanship and character.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Pow, Engr. Julius Emeka, thanked the National Chairman for finding time to grace the event. He stated, "Through sports, young athletes learn the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance." Football unites people, and the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, is passionate about sports, which is why he launched Solution FC.

The ANAMBRA East Football Tournament finale served as a testament to the transformative power that football holds within the Nigerian community. Bringing together talented athletes from communities in Anambra East local Government and uniting them. The event showcased the dedication, skill, and determination of these young footballers who continue to inspire and uplift their peers.
