TONY NWOYE: ONE OF THE MISTAKES OF THE OBIDIENT WIND THAT NDI ANAMBRA NORTH MUST CORRECT.

TONY NWOYE: ONE OF THE MISTAKES OF THE OBIDIENT WIND THAT NDI ANAMBRA NORTH MUST CORRECT

-- Mazi Ejimofor Opara

There are people to be taken seriously within Anambra political circle, and there are others whom history has consigned to a place of perpetual dishonor. Tony Nwoye is one of such political debris the 2023 wind blew back to assumed relevance. A better advise would be that he should not test the memory of ndi Anambra nor take their good will for granted.

In the last 7months of the 10th Senate, the garrulous Tony has had nothing but excuses and complaints, fighting lost battles and denying the people of Anambra North their right to sound and qualitative representation at the Senate. This is why political decisions must be made from the head, not the heart. The reason we must begin to hold these crop of legislators accountable for what they promised to do for the people is the glaring fact that all of them are "Old wines in New wine skins". Soludo-bashing" is not part of the dividends of democracy Ndi Anambra North want from a Tony Nwoye. While Tony is busy with his careless talks about 2025, ndi Anambra North are waiting for him without result and 2027 is fast racing towards him with a sledgehammer.

It is indeed true, that psychotic conditions may be tractable. However, insanity will always leave residues of abnormality on its sufferer. If Tony, in one breath, is charging ndi Anambra to re-elect them on the basis of performance, how does he think same ndi Anambra will not be sophisticated enough to deploy same yardstick on Soludo whose performance in 20 months remains unmatched in the annals of the State?

At APGA we are not afraid of strange bird fellows and opportunistic politicians who took advantage of the people's emotions to ride to power. Ndi Anambra North should ask the directionless Tony the fate of the Anambra-Kogi highway that will connect the State to Abuja seamlessly. As we speak, it is neither in the 2024 budget nor has Tony said anything about the State of the road since he became a Senator.

If Soludo ever declares to run for a second term in office, it will be such a huge tsunamic movement that will crush the opposition to rubbles. For now, Prof. Soludo is busy delivering on his mandate across the State and in all sectors. Little wonder on the 14th of December, 2023, members of the Anambra North People's Assembly paid a courtesy call on Governor Soludo to thank him for the good works he is doing in Okpoko, Nzam, Aguleri, Awkuzu, Onitsha and the entire Anambra North. These are the real stakeholders who are waiting for Tony's scorecard. I hope "Soludo this, Soludo that" will not be the reason for Tony Nwoye's non-performance?

The days are fast coming, and for every new day, ndi Anambra continue to realize that both the Labour Party and the political misfits who sneaked back to power through it, are one huge mistake that must be corrected.
