The truth cannot be hidden forever. Lilian Orogbu, a supposed "Beauty-pageant" turned "Federal Lawmaker" representing Awka North and South, needs to be held accountable for her actions. It's time to address her abysmal performance and lack of effective representation at the 10th Assembly, which has been brought to light due to her neglect and abandonment of the vulnerable, elders, women, and the weak among her constituents during the Christmas period.


President Tinubu had released a rice palliative for Nigerian households during the 2023 Christmas period through the Federal Lawmakers, but the allocation of Awka North and South was successfully diverted into personal use by their Representative, Lilian Orogbu. Despite this fact, Mrs. Orogbu made it known to the world and Nigerians through her official media communication and director, Ogbaji Afam, that the few 10kg bags of rice she shared were procured by her money and not from any palliative given by the President.

It is time to ask Lilian Orogbu the question that has been on everyone's mind: Why would she lie against President Tinubu over the Christmas palliative that the Presidency released? And if she never lied to us, where is the Christmas palliative allocated to Awka North and South? Her official communication through her Media Office stated that the few 10kg bags of rice were bought from her purse, which raises even more questions.


Lilian Orogbu should be advised to focus on her legislative functions, which she has been failing to perform since she hasn't attracted any federal government intervention and projects within her 8 months in office. She needs to sponsor a quality bill that will transform the lives of the people who voted for her instead of supporting those who are flaunting the banning of street hawking, trading, and blocking of Flood channels in Awka, the capital city. Lilian is benefiting from the ruins of Awka previously, and it is time for her to take responsibility for her actions.
