In our continuous efforts to enhance access to clean water and sanitation facilities, we have implemented a solar-powered portable water project and modern toilet facilities within Idemili South Local Government Area. Spearheaded by Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi (Iyom Ife-Abata), the Transition Committee Chairman, this initiative aligns with Governor Charles Soludo's vision for a sustainable, clean, and habitable environment.

By introducing solar-powered boreholes, we ensure a consistent and reliable water supply for traders in our council markets. The durability of solar-powered pumps minimizes breakdowns, thus guaranteeing continuous access to clean water. This initiative is pivotal in addressing waterborne diseases and promoting public health among residents.


Furthermore, the installation of modern toilet facilities in the markets is essential for proper waste disposal, mitigating contamination risks, and enhancing hygiene standards. This not only safeguards the health of market-goers but also fosters a cleaner and safer marketplace environment.


Our administration remain steadfast in their commitment to providing safe and dependable water sources for all residents. Through these initiatives, we aim to create healthier and more sustainable communities within Idemili South Local Government Area.
