In Anambra State, ordinary people such as farmers, petty traders, students, okada riders, keke, and shuttle drivers are given the rare opportunity to commission roads. This is a remarkable feat, one that is yet to be witnessed in any other state. It is a testament to the high standard set by Soludo in the Nigerian political space. In just two years, he has made the most difficult tasks seem simple and demystified governance, setting a new standard for political leaders to emulate.
Gone are the days when governors would delegate the commissioning of state projects to the most powerful individuals. Soludo introduced a new model that prioritizes the people - the true owners and users of the projects. This approach is not only transparent and accountable but also demonstrates that their hard-earned tax money is being put to good use.
Soludo's administration has given power back to the people, and they are the ones who own and commission the multi-billion naira projects built by the government. This is a clear indication of his commitment to serving ndi Anambra, who put him in office. It is no wonder that a bus driver in Onitsha offered Soludo his total earnings for the day as a token of appreciation for his exceptional performance without borrowing a kobo.
