SOLUDO ENDS FIRST HALF, STARTS THIRD YEAR IN OFFICE IN GRAND STYLE
By Izuchukwu Adichie
Soludo, today, Monday 18, starts the journey of his third year in office in a grand style, marking his second anniversary of visiting Okpoko slum, he will be commissioning a Water scheme, a brand new general hospital, and 12km of roads in the once-abandoned largest West African slum. It was due to Soludo’s human face, compassion, and selfless leadership that these basic amenities are being seen in Okpoko for the first time in the history of its creation after they were abandoned by previous governments.
Soludo's second year in office has come to an end. Expectedly, the short period was marked by the demystification of governance and the laying of the foundation for a functional state. It was an era that witnessed the introduction of a new model of Doing Things Differently. It saw the building of basic infrastructure and human capital development, which is the core of governance.
This is a government that cares for the common man, the vulnerable, and the next generation.
