Idemili South APGA Stakeholders Commiserate with Amaka Obi over the Death of his Cousin Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

The Transition committee chairman of Idemili South LGA has received more condolence messages from close allies in the council area over the sudden demise of her first cousin brother, Sen Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who represented Anambra South Senatorial Zone at the National Assembly, before his death on Saturday, 27th July 2024, at 52 years. Senator Ubah who slumped in London, was reportedly to have died of cardiac arrest.
Reacting to shocking and very sorrowful news, the chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), in Idemili South, Hon Kezito Anoliefo described Senator Ubah's death as a “great loss to Nigeria’s democracy and the Nnewi community.
Hon Kezito also sent condolences to the family members, the T.C Chairman, Hon Amaka Obi, friends and professional colleagues of the deceased, he noted that the late senator distinguished himself as a business mogul before vying for political office to serve his people. He prayed for the repose of his soul.
On his part, Amb Clinton Bonaventure Ngige popularly known as (Obi Ngige) has expressed sadness over the senator’s death, describing it as untimely death.
Obi Ngige noted that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was his age mate, describing Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as a young man who started making waves in businesses, and political affairs in the early stage of his life.
He remarked that the Senator was so dedicated to his responsibilities and hardworking that he became a two time senator at the National Assembly.
Obi Ngige encouraged the wife and Hon Amaka Obi and other members of the family to take solace while praying that God Almighty will bless and forgive the soul of the deceased.
Also, the Deputy Mayor of Idemili South, Hon Ebuka Smart Nriama, said is a difficult time for the family of the Ubah's. Hon Nriama while commiserating with the T.C chairman, Hon Amaka Obi asked her and her family members to have trust in God for comfort and care in their “very difficult period of pain and deep reflection.”
“Hon Nriama believes that the testimonies of the late Senator's philanthropic gesture and support to humanity and charity should provide strength for the family, knowing that he lived well, and served the will of the Almighty God.
Similarly, the Chairman Contacts and Mobilization of APGA in Idemili South, Chief Prince Dozie Okafor, has sympathized with Hon Amaka Obi over her first cousin brother death. He said the death of one's family members, especially the pillar of the family would always live an everlasting vacuum in the family.
Prince Dozie prays for repose of his soul, and fortitude for the family to bear the loss,” he added.
Furthermore, the APGA Youth Leader of Idemili, Hon Austin Ejibendu, said the news came to him as a shock and felt bad over the demise of Senator Ubah's death.
Hon Ejibendu remarked that by common consent, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a noted and indefatigable member of the Senate who lived a simple yet purposeful life, and to the end, he played politics of commitment to a cause. There is no doubt he would be remembered as a capable and principled representative of his Senatorial District, Nnewi Community and the people of Nigeria.
He commiserates with the T.C Chairman, Amaka Obi, asking her to be strong in the day that her first cousin lived a fulfilled live.
He, however, prayed for the repose of his soul saying: “I pray to God to forgive him and cover him with his mercy and grace.”
In the same vien, Chief Osita Okpanku, a stakeholder in Nnobi ward 1, who doubles as the coordinator of Solution Kindred Initiative (KSI) in the ward, said, he received the news with great shock and sadness.
He said, Sen Ifeanyi Ubah was a strong pillar of the Ubah dynasty and a man firmly committed to philanthropic values and the welfare of the less privileged.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the T.C Chairman, Hon Amaka Obi and the wife as well, for whom Sen Ifeanyi Ubah meant so much. He May his soul rest in peace.”
Moreso, Comrd Odili Maduora (Ugosinachi Oba), said it is a difficult experience to loss a close family member.
He said, I wish to convey my condolences, to the Council Chairman of Idemili South, Hon Amaka Obi.
“I also commiserate with Sen Ifeanyi Ubah family, his wife, children and close relatives and all the people that worked with him when he was alive.
He prayed that the God Almighty would grant his soul eternal rest.
In addition, former Councillor of Oba ward 2, Hon Nzube Ibeh and Mr Kenneth Akobi A.k.a (Nwachimereze Oba) the Secretary General of JONAPWD Idemili south chapter, who doubles as the assistant secretary of Great APGA Oba Ward 2 in their respective condolence messages to Hon Amaka Obi stated that they joined thousands of mourners to commiserate her first cousin brother death, Sen Ifeanyi Ubah.
Speaking further, they prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul, saying, “We, your friends are all here to mourn with you. May Almighty God give you and the entire family, the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the soul of the departed Senator, eternal rest.”
