The bustling city of Awka came to a standstill for several hours on Saturday as the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) held its local council elections mega campaign rally. Governor Soludo, the national leader of the party, led the charge, drawing hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic party supporters, volunteers, and various groups to the Alex Ekwueme Square for the electrifying event.
Amidst chants of 'Onye aghana nwanne ya!,' the 21 local government chairmen, their deputies, and 326 counselorship candidates were proudly presented with the party's flags, igniting an atmosphere of total support and excitement. The arrival of Soludo and other APGA leaders and the presence of vibrant traditional bands, drummers, and masquerades performances further fueled the crowd's fervour.
The overwhelming turnout at the rally strongly demonstrates that Anambra firmly stands with APGA and is ready to sweep the upcoming polls on September 28. The collective aspiration of Ndi Anambra is to wholeheartedly back the party in driving the state's development. Notably, APGA has fielded exceptional candidates who passionately advocate for the party's progressive vision, resonating with communities, wards, and units across Anambra.
Ndi Anambra is aware of the stellar performance achieved under the current government led by Soludo and APGA. They are resolutely committed to securing victory for all APGA candidates, ensuring the continuous advancement of infrastructure and human capital development throughout the state
