ASATU Youth Wing Unveils 179 Community Role Models, Patrons, Ends Year on a High Note

In line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's policy of promoting Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP) the Anambra State Association of Town Unions, (ASATU Youth Wing) on Saturday, December 14, 2024 unveiled 179 community role models cum patrons.
Speaking during the event that was held at ASATU Secretariat, Government House, Awka, the National President of the community based youth leadership association, Comrade Ken Okoli emphasized on the mentorship role the patrons are to play in their various communities, declaring that they are expected to inspire youths in their communities through good conducts and community development.
He further explained the rigours process of selecting the role models, noting that consultation of Traditional Rulers and the President Generals of various communities were done before each individual who has done community development projects was chosen in each of the 179 communities in the state.
While presenting certificate of recognition and awards to the patrons, Comrade Okoli charged them to go back to their communities and inspire the youths, assuring that the event will be an annual event.
Speaking on behalf of the recipients Chief Chukwuma Ezedike and Paul Agbata, charged the youths to give back to the society that raised them, encouraging them to assist in community development for posterity sake.
