ASATU Youth Activates Diaspora Arm, Celebrates Community Role Models

The Youth wing of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, (ASATU Youth) on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 activated its diaspora arm, while celebrating Youth Role Models across the 179 communities in the state.
During the well attended event held at Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Center, Awka, Anambra State, the President General of the association, Comrade Ken Okoli emphasized that the community youth Role Models being celebrated are those who have initiated impactful community development projects in their various communities, aligning it with Prof. Chukwuma Soludo's value reorientation programme in Anambra State.
The association, equally used the occasion to unveil compendium of Star Role Models and Community Role Models, a document that celebrates individuals whose developmental initiatives have positively impacted their communities.
In the same vein, the President General, announced a proposed 500 Million Naira Youth Center Project, aimed at providing a central hub for youth development and empowerment. He highlighted on the importance of the project, assuring it will foster a sense of belonging and togetherness among the youths, commencing with an initiatives to register all the youths, age 18 to 45 in the state and activation of diaspora arm of the association.
Okoli, while concluding, stated that the initiatives were a demonstration of the youth base association's commitment to value reorientation programmes of the present administration in the state.
