 Health ministry partners private healthcare givers to end maternal mortality By Chukwudi Nwauba  Anambra State Government through the State Ministry of Health is partnering with the Private healthcare givers across the state to end maternal mortality. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike said that Gov. Charles Soludo’s led administration is adopting a holistic approach to end the maternal mortality in the state.  Government reiterates commitment in commencing Emergency Medical, Ambulance Services  By Chukwudi Nwauba Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike says the state government is fully committed to the commencement of the National Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) in the state. "Anambra is one of the six selected states that will start the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System. ``This NEMSAS when commenced will help to reduce mortality rate as well as provide timely healthcare service delivery to the people.” Dr. Obidike said this when the Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Health paid him a familiarization visit in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka. The interface is part of Mr. Governor's effort to permanently resolve the reoccurring issues as regards workers' welfare in the state-owned Teaching Hospital.  Soludo: Mr Governor’s  “62 Birthday” By Izuchukwu Adichie Today marks a special day in the life of a man whom I have come to love for his wisdom, depth in knowledge, simplicity and appreciable work ethics. A man who works deep late into the midnight every single day since he assumed office with an intent to give good governance and great service to ndi-Anambra. It is on a day like this, that all men of goodwill rise to salute the awesomeness of God's gift to the earth, graciously ndi-Anambra. It is with elation and gratitude, that I write on this day. A day that marks the 62nd birthday of greatness, Governor Chukwuma Soludo. From the time I got to work closely with Governor Chukwuma Soludo -from the 2021 guber election period- I have wondered if he ever sleeps. Many times I come to conclusion that he hardly does. But even if he does, his brain stays awake and his thoughts aflame. Remarkably, I do not expect a funfair display on this day given Governor Soludo's simple nature. P
