 Anambra remains eternally grateful to WHO, other UN Agencies continued collaboration in health By Chukwudi Nwauba Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike says the state will eternally remain grateful to World Health Organisation (WHO), other United Nations (UN) Agencies for their continued collaboration in the health sector of the state. Dr. Obidike said that the administration of Gov. Charles Soludo is aware of the important role and contributions of UN Agencies in the state, which is why the governor a few months ago invited all the UN representatives in Nigeria to the state so as to strengthen the partnership.  SOLUDO CONDEMNS KILLING OF SOLDIERS IN UMUNZE, SAYS NO HIDING PLACE FOR PERPETRATORS Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR has strongly condemned the killing of soldiers who were ambushed on a routine patrol at Umunze by yet to be identified gun men in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State. "We condemn this wicked and cruel attack in the strongest terms. The perpetrators of this act must pay.  Ihiala LGA, Records Full Compliance in the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise The Transition Committee Chairman of Ihiala LGA, Hon. Kingsley Obi, has stated that Ihiala Local Government Area recorded full compliance in the September edition of the Environmental Sanitation Exercise which took place on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Speaking to Anambra News Alert reporters,  on telephone, the TC chairman, narrated how the people of the council area, cooperated with the authority and obeyed the order to keep their environment clean, he noted that people came out en mass to join the exercise.  AT EKWUSIGO L.G.A, THE ENVIRONMENTAL EXERCISE RECEIVED COMPLIANCE Government should be of the law rather than man. And the law should be supreme if we must have a society devoid of crime and irregularities.  Environmental sanitation exercise took a different turn at Ekwusigo L.G.A as defaulters were apprehended and punished accordingly. But that notwithstanding, it was a huge success recorded. The transition Chairman, Ekwusigo L.G.A Hon. Chimezie Obi led the team of law enforcement agents, health officials,  Councillors, and Community leaders in the clean-up exercise.  Ekwusigo L.G.A received maximum compliance.  Health Commissioner hails Global Fund’s RSSH grant to the State By Chukwudi Nwauba Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike has hailed the Global Fund’s Resilient and Sustainable System for Health (RSSH) grant to the state. Dr. Obidike gave the commendation when received the stakeholders from the Global Fund RSSH grant in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka.
