 SOLUDO ATTENDS IGBO DAY CELEBRATION, CALLS FOR UNITY By Christian ABURIME  Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR attended the 2023 Igbo Day with the theme: "Igbo Kunie" organized by Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.  The event was held at Michael Okpara Square, Enugu. GOVERNOR SOLUDO CALLS FOR A SOUTHEAST PLAN AND HOMELAND CONSCIOUSNESS Governor Chukwuma Soludo, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, proposed a 100-year development plan and agenda centered on homeland consciousness and partnerships across the five (5) eastern states. He made the call during a 2-Day Southeast Economic and Development Summit held in Owerri, Imo State. For Soludo, the eastern region must determine to move forward despite challenges, and to move forward the region must believe in itself and its abilities, else the development plan cannot be achieved. It will be recalled that about 5,000 teachers were recruited last year when the administration was barely nine months old in office Governor Soludo made the announcement to recruit additional 3,000 teachers during a visit to Community Secondary School, CSS, Isuofia, Aguata Council Area. According to the Governor, the recruitment of these additional teachers is part of his agenda to end the era of PTA Teachers and provide accessible, qualitative education for all children in the state.
