 IDEMILI SOUTH TC CHAIRMAN, HON. OBI WAS PRESENT AS NNOKWA ELECT NEW PG. .....Congratulates Sir. Anyika as he emerges President General of Nnokwa Town Union. The Transition Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon.(Mrs) Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) was present during the election of President General of Nnokwa Town Union. The election which was peaceful, free, fair and credible, saw Sir. Joe Anyika(Ochiagha Nnokwa) emerged as the winner as he scored 121 votes to defeat his opponent Professor Ukpaka who scored 98 votes. The winner was sworn in as the President General of Nnokwa after the election at Nnokwa hall. Council Boss noted that she is happy with the peaceful election. She further advised the new President General to be a symbol of service and dedication.  HON. UBA AYIOFU EMERGES FROM CARETAKER CHAIRMAN TO BECOME THE ELECTED PRESIDENT GENERAL OF UKWULU TOWN UNION. Today, 26/12/22, we were outside, not for fun but for work. Ukwulu Town in Dunukofia Local Government got a new President General and other executives in a free and fair election that saw the loser congratulate the winner and promised to give him support. My boss, Hon. Tonycollins Nwabunwanne called me up from my holiday to move straight to Ukwulu and salvage a situation that was gradually turning rowdy.  On getting there at lightning speed, I met Onyemaobi Augustine Nonyelum aka Ancestor - TC Chairman Dunukofia Local Government Area who was already on the ground with his men to manage the situation.  SOLUDO INAUGURATES ROAD TRAFFIC VOLUNTEERS FOR FREE FLOW OF TRAFFIC DURING CHRISTMAS SEASON By Vincent O Ezechukwu The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo CFR, in an effort to find solution to the perennial road congestion experienced during festive seasons in some major junctions in the state,  has inaugurated the Anambra State Road Traffic Volunteers to ensure free flow of traffic during the busy Christmas season. Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) honours Obi Amaka Iyom  By Emmy Young  The Idemili Communities Chapter of Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU)  has presented an award of honour to the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government, Hon Amaka Obi.  While conferring the award on Hon Amaka, the National President of Ohanaze Ndị Igbo Anambra State chapter, Chief Emeka Udodeme  noted that the recognition were based on her effort in putting Idemili and Igbo land on the Global Map. While responding to the presentation of award, Hon Amaka appreciated the ASATU chapter of Idemili North and South, the National President of the Union, Hon Barr Akpudo Titus (Ichaka Egbe-Eji-Egbu-Agu Eziowelle) and other communities President General (PGs) for deeming her worthy of the honour.  She however, stressed that she dedicated the honour to God Almighty and her family.  Anambra State Government Receives Relief Materials from Whitefield Organization By Vincent O Ezechukwu The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on Thursday, December 15, 2022 received relief materials donated to the state by Whitefield Organization as part of the foundation's efforts to eradicate poverty and mitigate the suffering of flood victims in the most affected Local Government Areas in the state. Speaking during the handover at the State Emergency Management Agency,  SEMA's office, Awka, Mr Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, commended the organization for remembering the less privilege and flood victims in the state, assuring them of judicious distribution of the items donated.
