Njoku or N'joker?

Image
Njoku or N'joker? BY IZUCHUKWU Adichie The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), like many political parties in Nigeria, has had its share of villains and imposters whose only intent is to cause internal political wrangling. Among these, Edozie Njoku and outcasted Chekwa Okorie stand out as mere political jokers who have somersaulted into politics with many deceits, blackmail of relevant government agencies, and lacking ethical principles. They seem to think they can do anything and get away with it. Listening to the undisputable APGA National Chairman, Barr Sly Ezeokenwa on Arise TV last night, where he presented all the legal facts before the court of public opinion and raised relevant questions for INEC to provide a court order that announced one Edozie N'joker as non-existing party’s national chairman, one may wonder why this proxy N'joker is still walking freely in Nigeria instead of being in prison for deceiving the electoral commission. He should not be walking fr

ANAMBRA AT 33; SOLUDO’S UNIQUE LEADERSHIP IMPACT PUTS ANAMBRA ON THE RISE By Christian ABURIME In an extempore but lucid speech that echoed the aspirations of Ndi Anambra, the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on Tuesday marked the 33rd anniversary of the State with a powerful message of progress, unity, appreciation, and unalloyed rededication to a greater future.  His words were beyond just a celebration of the state’s journey since its creation on August 27, 1991; they were also a passionate call to action, a reminder of the shared vision that binds the people of Anambra together. Governor Soludo eloquently painted a picture of a state that has risen from the aspirations of its founders to become a bastion of economic vitality and social progress in Nigeria.  Today, Anambra is not just another state; it is a thriving entity ranking among the top six largest economies in the country. Despite some challenges, both national and sub-national, the state

The owners of the sealed properties violated the law, and the claim that the sealing was targeted at the Labour Party and one Edozie Njoku is a fallacy BY IZUCHUKWU Adichie Recently, there was news on some sections of social media regarding the Anambra State Housing Corporation's actions to seal several properties at Udoka Housing Estate in Awka. The sealing of these properties was a result of the illegal conversion of residential buildings into political offices without obtaining the necessary approval. It's important to note that the sealing of these offices is not targeted at any specific group or individuals but is a response to the illegal use of residential buildings for commercial purposes without proper authorization. Under the administration of Soludo, Anambra state has placed a strong emphasis on maintaining law and order. As a result, when property owners disregarded the law, thereby, allowing many residential buildings to be defaced by the constant posting of banne

ANAMBRA AT 33: THE LIGHT SHINES ON BRIGHTER By Christian ABURIME  Another year, another anniversary. As Anambra State marks its 33rd anniversary today, it is a moment of reflection and celebration, a time to appreciate the monumental strides made and look forward to an even more promising future. Since its creation on August 27, 1991, Anambra State has evolved, overcoming numerous challenges to emerge as a model of progress and development in Nigeria. And under the leadership of the current administration, ably led by Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, the state has remained true to the dream of its founding fathers: a prosperous and livable homeland for all its citizens. One of the hallmarks of the current government has been its untiring commitment to security and stability. Recognising that peace is the substratum of development, the administration has implemented comprehensive measures to combat crime and ensure the safety of every citizen. From reclaiming areas previously do

September 28: It Does Not Matter If Any Political Party Refuses To Participate In The Upcoming Local Government Elections

September 28: It Does Not Matter If Any Political Party Refuses To Participate In The Upcoming Local Government Elections By Izuchukwu Adichie It is not surprising to see some anti-progressives in Anambra continue to oppose the state's developmental progress and inclusive governance achieved under the Soludo administration. Their opposition to the upcoming local government elections, which are to be conducted by the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) on September 28, is a clear reflection of their hate for the political advancement in the state. These individuals have in the past taken to the market square with their reckless utterances that only serve their interest, blackmail and campaign of calumny to clamour for the conduct of the local government election. However, it is important to note that ANSIEC has given assurance to Ndi Anambra regarding its readiness to organize local government elections that are both free and fair, which hasn't been conducte

THE JINX-BREAKING ENIGMA IN GOVERNOR SOLUDO

THE JINX-BREAKING ENIGMA IN GOVERNOR SOLUDO By Christian ABURIME *_“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”_*                           - Martin Luther King Jr. In human history, there would always be individuals whose lives subsist as destined epitomes of extraordinary purpose and unparalleled achievement. They are enigmas who possess an innate ability to shatter conventions, break long-standing jinxes, and blaze trails where none existed before. By uncanny destiny, the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, is such an enigma.  The Governor’s life continues to be an instructive treatise on the Nietzschean concept of the Ãœbermensch, the idea of an individual who transcends conventional boundaries and creates new values in a world of endless possibilities. From his early days as a brilliant student and academic, his stint as a revolutionary CBN gove

Anambra LG Elections: The whistle has been blown

Anambra LG Elections: The whistle has been blown BY IZUCHUKWU Adichie The whistle for September 28 has finally been blown as the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) has announced the date for the conduct of the local government elections which hasn't been conducted in the state in the past two decades. Ndi Anambra had not experienced a proper local government election and an effective local government system. For the past two decades, the local system was non-functional, abandoned, and in ruins with no access to administrative duties. It was so bad that workers did not show up for work, pensioners at the local level were owed a backlog of unpaid pensions, and the welfare of local government staff was neglected. However, in two years, Soludo has made the best of a bad system. He has kept his promise about conducting local government elections, since he assumed office he has been unleashing the potential of governance at the local levels. He has promoted accounta

Soludo, during the emotional moments of his daughter's traditional wedding ceremony held in his modest Isuofia home. The ceremony was deeply significant for Soludo, as his first daughter, who was the third daughter to be born in the Soludos dynasty in over 140 years, and the second daughter to get married in the Soludos dynasty were getting married traditionally. Despite the subdued atmosphere, it was evident that Soludo was on the brink of tears as he fulfilled the solemn traditions. The second emotionally charged moment occurr

Slogans can simply be seen in form of using humor, emissions or personality to represent or emphasize brands mission. Just like a brand, leaders also adopt slogans which embodies their vision and mission. The slogan is expected to remind such a leader the purpose for which he ot she occupies the leadership position.  Building  Bankable Human Resource Through Equal Opportunity For All By Valentine Mbadugha  It was J.F Kennedy that once said that: "All of us do not have equal talent, but all of us should have an equal opportunity to develop our talent."  To further explain the importance of having an equal opportunity for all, Nelson Mandela in one of his favourite quotes said, "During my lifetime, I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people. I have fought against white dominant and I have fought against black dominant. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It's an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it's an ideal for which I'm prepared to die for". The equal opportunity model has since been adopted in Anambra by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, CFR.
