SOLUTION IS HERE BECAUSE SOLUDO HAS BECOME!! By Izuchukwu Adichie “Solution Is Here” was actually the voice of God, but some of our people didn't know the meaning until “Soludo became the governor. Here is a man who is driven by compassion and transformation, which is why across the state, a host of his beneficiaries do come to sing his praises, to thank him, and to give testimonies of how they have been touched by the milk of his empathy and selfless leadership even as some of them were his strong opposition in the past but not anymore due to his good works. Soludo’s ways of relating with people across all levels are unscripted, it is just the normal behavior of the man called “Soludo”. There are real-time testimonies by ndi Anambra and its residents, from the lower class to the medium and rich class who have received the “Solution Is Here” developmental strides. From the women selling bananas at Nwagu Agulu to the children from the abandoned Anambra West/East plus Anyamelu who n

Soludo investment in education can end poverty

Image
Soludo investment in education can end poverty By Izuchukwu Adichie There is a popular saying that any nation that wants to fix its incidence of poverty should first fix its education system. Education is critical to development as qualitative education will empower people with the required knowledge and critical skills to create opportunities for sustainable and viable economic growth now and into the future. For Soludo, Education is the best way out of poverty in part because it is strongly linked to economic growth that is why his government is intentionally reducing the incidence of poverty through access to qualitative and free education that is truly free in all government-owned schools, recruitment, training, and retraining of quality teachers, and rebuilding and upgrading basic school infrastructures to meet modern world standards.

Soludo Free Education is not Discriminatory

Image
Soludo Free Education is not Discriminatory By Izuchukwu Adichie Soludo administration had in recent times launched an unprecedented education program that has taken government-owned and managed schools back to basics when it was an equalizer. This program targets all children from both poor and rich homes to attend the same public school and have a favorable and competitive education that will shape them to be productive at home and abroad in the future. Under Soludo's administration, children of school age will no longer be denied access to qualitative ededucation and because of his passion for achieving an all-inclusive education, no child within the school age from Nursery to JSS 3 should be charged school fees or any other levy to acquire education in the state irrespective of where the child comes from as far as the child is resident in the state.

SOLUDO MOURNS THE PASSING OF LATE FORMER SECRETARY-GENERAL,  OHANEZE NDIGBO,  PROF. BEN NWABUEZE Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has expressed condolences on the passing  of the former Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, a most distinguished Anambra State-born legal luminary and national patriot, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, SAN, NNOM, CON, who died on Sunday 29, October 2023.  Governor Soludo in his tribute to the late legal luminary and elder statesman remarks that Prof. Nwabueze's influence extended far beyond his home state, noting that he lived all his life inspiring generations of legal minds and citizens alike to strive for a more just and equitable society. As a towering figure in the field of constitutional law and an elder statesman of unparalleled integrity in Nigeria, the legacy of Prof. Nwabueze will forever be etched in the annals of our nation's history. His unyielding commitment to the cause of constitutionalism, justice and equity has left a

APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN MOURNS PROFESSOR BEN NWABUEZE.  The APGA National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has expressed deep sadness over the death of Professor Ben Nwabueze, SAN, NNOM, CON, former Minister of Education and constitutional lawyer, at the age of 94. Prof. Ben Nwabueze, alongside other prominent Igbo figures such as Akanu Ibiam, M.I. Okpara, K.O. Mbadiwe, Chief Ugochukwu, P.N. Okigbo, and Udoji, co-founded Ohaneze Ndigbo in 1976. He served as the pioneer Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide and held the title of Oduah Afo-na-isagba of Atani, Anambra State. Ben Nwabueze was also the first academic lawyer to be made a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1978, solely based on his published works. Alongside Rotimi Williams and others, he drafted the 1979 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Barr. Ezeokenwa described Prof. Ben Nwabueze as, "a consummate constitutional lawyer, author, academic, and reformist. He was a beacon of wisdom and inspiration for all

ANTI-TOUTING: “SASA” is operating in a different way

Image
ANTI-TOUTING: “SASA” is operating in a different way By Izuchukwu Adichie I recall one of the past administrations how an anti-touting squad whose job was to ensure zero touting in Onitsha and its environs turned themselves into defacto government, parks and market managers, and government revenue agents, making a return of N300- N400 million naira monthly to the state purse as an IGR. There was no government to evaluate their activities, they left their core mandate, patriotism, civility, and humanity in the discharge of their responsibilities and became touts, nuisance, and kidnappers. They are part of the problems Onitsha Metropolitan is still facing! The coming of Soludo had brought something different and with the formal inauguration of the Special Anti-Touting Squad -SASA to ensure a true zero touting, gone are the days in Anambra state when a Governor would launch an anti-touting squad without proper recruitment and adequate training, equipping, cautioning, and advising the mem

Soludo: Another “Jakande” in Anambra

Image
Soludo: Another “Jakande” in Anambra By Izuchukwu Adichie There is a new Lateef Jakande in Anambra State. Soludo has introduced educational programs targeting the poor, rebuilding and upgrading neighborhood primary and secondary schools, and providing free primary and secondary education that is truly free. He is giving thousands of poor people's children access to qualitative education and has bridged the inequality gap between rich and poor children. Soludo is investing in education to end poverty and build a prosperous generation that will be productive at home and abroad. He has granted free education tuitions and levies that are truly free, training and retraining of teachers, recruitment of 5,000 teachers, and an additional 3,000 recruitment, rebuilding, and upgrading of public schools to meet modern-day standards. Like Jakande in Lagos, Like Soludo in Anambra State.

Soludo tackling citizens’ hardship

Image
Soludo tackling citizens’ hardship By Izuchukwu Adichie Since Soludo assumed office, the 18-month “Goomenti Umuogbenye” has been fundamental in making sure that the poor will not only breathe but also walk and run. He feels and understands the challenges being suffered by the vulnerable and today, for the first time in the history of this state, he is bringing a quality healthcare system to the people of Ogbaru, Ayamelum, Onitsha South, and Anambra West by building brand-new general hospitals. Apart from employing 800 health personnel, and rebuilding and upgrading our hospitals to meet modern standards which include introducing telemedicine, our public health centers will soon be lightened up by solar-powered lights. Soludo has established social safety to protect vulnerable citizens with his policy of one million economic coconut and palm fruit seedlings to all families, the N2 Billion seed capital to 5,000 youths who successfully trained in various skills, and also the 20,000 youth

APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN STRIKES GOLD AGAIN WITH YET ANOTHER TRAILBLAZER LEADER AWARD! By Dr. Tony Olisa Mbeki. [Awka] The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has once again found himself in the spotlight as he is honored with the prestigious Trailblazer Leader Award by the Anambra State Branch of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA). Fida, as an international organization, has been at the forefront of transforming societies and paving the way for progress. It advocates for children and women's access to justice and works towards eradicating discrimination. In her address, the Chairperson of FIDA Anambra State Branch, His worship Genevieve Osakwe, who spoke on the theme; Digital Technology: an effective tool for curbing domestic violence and child trafficking, described Ezeokenwa as a true trailblazer, highlighting his innovative approaches as the Chairman of a foremost party in Nigeria to address pressing societal is

“Soludo is leaving no one behind”

Image
“Soludo is leaving no one behind” By Izuchukwu Adichie Every society is indeed divided into segments but for Soludo, his administration had thrown open the doors of opportunity to all the residents in Anambra state because everyone has to be taken care of within available resources and this is the inescapable significance of the moment. He is committed to inclusive growth, poverty reduction, and societal cohesion and also ensuring that no segment of people or any part of our state is left behind. We are leaving no one behind and this is our central and transformative promise to achieve a prosperous homeland. Given this, not even a child born in the remotest part of the state in the poorest of the poor families, nor that woman who sells Akara every Nkwo market day, and not even Mr. A or Mrs. B who comes from the sun or moon to live happily and work happily in our state, can be denied access to good governance, and not even a disabled like Mr. Eze Ndubuisi would be excluded from benefit

5,000 Anambra families have been rescued from poverty

Image
5,000 Anambra families have been rescued from poverty  By Izuchukwu Adichie Every day and day, it is becoming clearer and clearer that Soludo will not stop his rescue mission until the poorest of the poor from our state are broken from the shackles of poverty. As a Governor for Ndi Anambra who understood that human capital is our greatest resource and that youth are the bridge to the future of our state, he has come to govern us with a big heart, unlike in the past administrations when youth empowerment was a “promise, phantom, and stomach infrastructure”.  But this Soludo administration has strategically done something different -he has intentionally and genuinely lifted at least 5,000 families out of poverty through the first batch of training, certification, and empowerment of the successfully trained 5,000 ndi Anambra youth irrespective of societal strata. His transformation agenda is fundamentally focused on creating at least 1,000 youth millionaires per year, a prosperous expect

ANAMBRA 1YOUTH 2SKILLS: EXPECTATION MEETS OUTCOME

Image
ANAMBRA 1YOUTH 2SKILLS: EXPECTATION MEETS OUTCOME  -- Mazi Ejimofor Opara. The event of yesterday is significant for two reasons. First, it is unprecedented and the first grand scale youth empowerment preceded by intensive training, with an effective mentoring, monitoring and evaluation process.  Then the next is the awe around the streets, communities and villages in Anambra occasioned by the fact that most people now wonder how conscientiously a Leader in recent time is sticking to his campaign promise. Governor Soludo's single-mindedness in addressing core issues of development is driven by empathy for the people whose trust he has committed not to betray. So, when Soludo said he would create one thousand (1000) youth millionaires annually in the State, he has set the tone with yesterday's massive empowerment program and the people already know that he is on course to surpassing himself.  Anambra as the National headquarters of small scale enterprise is well on its way to t

Sly Ezeokenwa, today, received in audience, members of the NIGERIA Union of Journalists, Anambra State Chapter, during a courtesy visit at the Regional Secretariat in Awka.  Ezeokenwa took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Nigerian Union of Journalists for their relentless commitment to promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance through their diligent reporting. 1YOUTH 2SKILLS: SOLUDO CONTINUES TO BREAK THE POVERTY CYCLE

Image
1YOUTH 2SKILLS: SOLUDO CONTINUES TO BREAK THE POVERTY CYCLE  -- Mazi Ejimofor Opara  One of the fundamental advantages of a Soludo leadership is that he came prepared. This morning, I went back to a video of his 2019 lecture series at "the Platform" in Lagos. At that lecture, he not only made projections, but also provided solutions. This was 2years before he declared to run for governorship of Anambra State.  What struck me is this short clip below is how this man is consciously showing the effective application of his development theory/thesis years after. Today, over 5000 Anambra Youths who have been trained across various life-changing skill sets shall be empowered with 2.5Billion Naira as start-up grant, with access to another 2billion Naira loan from the Bank of Industry at single digit interest rate.  This is the first of its kind in the history of the State, where such enormous investment is made for human capital development. In less than 2years in office, Soludo

SOLUDO TO LIBERATE 5,000 HOUSEHOLDS WITH N2.5 BILLION

Image
SOLUDO TO LIBERATE 5,000 HOUSEHOLDS WITH N2.5 BILLION By Izuchukwu Adichie Today, history will be made as Chukwuma Soludo will become the first Anambra state Governor since its creation to truly and intentionally empower 5,000 Ndi Anambra youth with a start-up fund of N2.5 Billion and this will accelerate rapid job creation. The event will be held at the International Convention Center, Awka. With his policy of leaving no one behind, rescuing those suffering by being the governor for the vulnerable, and ensuring that the poor are allowed to breathe, the administration ensured that these youth were selected based on a passion to be liberated without asking if anyone comes from the moon or sun, they were trained under the mandatory one-year solution “1 YOUTH - 2 SKILLS”  During the gubernatorial campaign, Soludo assured Ndi Anambra that his administration would create millionaires, who would further create additional millionaires. Today, he is fulfilling another of his campaign promises

SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT: APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, EZEOKENWA CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT TINUBU, CHARGES INEC ON ELECTRONIC COLLATION AND MANAGEMENT OF ELECTION RESULTS  He wrote..... Earlier today, the Supreme Court delivered its judgment in the consolidated appeals filed by candidates of the Labour Party and People's Democratic Party, challenging the electoral victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC. I encourage him to be magnanimous in victory and to bring the much-needed peace and harmony to the country, by running an inclusive government.  I commend the Appellants in the Consolidated Appeals. URGENT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

URGENT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT!!!  The Attention of the Management of Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ( ASUBEB) has been drawn to the unfounded voice Note/information circulating on various WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms in time to come that Teachers in Public Mission Schools will no longer be paid by Anambra State Government That information is false and should be disregarded. The management of ASUBEB wants to state categorically as follows :  1. TEMPLE RUN -EVERYWHERE IS HOT FOR TOUTS IN ANAMBRA”

Image
“TEMPLE RUN -EVERYWHERE IS HOT FOR TOUTS IN ANAMBRA” By Izuchukwu Adichie “Esibeghi beans esi moi-moi a na esi” The above is a popular Igbo parlance that will be best fit to summarize the condition of a minority of the minority who called themselves touts in Anambra. Before now, they were told either to obey the laws of the land or leave the state in peace. Today everywhere is hot for them, they are receiving the baptism of fire and are in temple run with pain. Just the way a few criminals who tested the will of Ndi Anambra years ago were chased out, these touts who are intimidating the vulnerable, damaging their goods, and looming around pick-pocketing, have no hiding place anymore. We now have a Soludo who has the will, to liberate the poor and lead the fight in the front against these aged-long miscreants whose aim was to chase away our visitors and diminish our prosperity.  May Anambra continue to succeed, Amen!

Touts, let the poor breathe in Onitsha

Image
Touts, let the poor breathe in Onitsha By Izuchukwu Adichie Ndi Anambra knows that Soludo’s journey is that of a Governor who came to transform the state, from giving life back to Okpoko that were left ruined for decades to rescuing the poorest of the poor through politics of development and not the usual stomach infrastructure and declaring war to touts to allow the poor to breathe in peace. Anambra is the light of the nation. A home where vulnerable people are destined to carry out their businesses peacefully without being harassed by miscreants. It is a land for hard-working residents who came to live in harmony to enjoy many of Soludo’s transformative governance including a free education that is truly free, free antenatal and delivery that doesn't ask if a beneficiary comes from the sun or the moon. Truly, it is time touts should give peace a chance and allow the poor to breathe in the state, and may Anambra continue to succeed, Amen!

SOLUDO SWEARS-IN IKPEAZU-NKEMDICHE AS COMMISSIONER FOR SPECIAL DUTIES

Image
SOLUDO SWEARS-IN IKPEAZU-NKEMDICHE AS COMMISSIONER FOR SPECIAL DUTIES By Christian ABURIME Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has sworn-in Hon Mrs. Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche as the new Commissioner for Special Duties. Governor Soludo who performed the swearing-in ceremony at the Government House, Awka, tasked her on purposeful service. He congratulated her on the new role, but quickly reminded her that the new position comes with great sacrifice to deliver on the mandate of the solution team. "It is no secret that this new position requires utmost dedication and commitment. It is a role that demands a person who can think outside the box, show empathy and establish positive relationships with all stakeholders. I am pleased to say that you possess these and many other qualities that qualify you for this job. "As you take this solemn oath of office and allegiance, I wish to remind you of the high expectations that come with this role. Ndị Anambra have

Soludo to Anambra Residents: We Must Come Together and Chase Touts Away, and Live in Peace

Image
Soludo to Anambra Residents: We Must Come Together and Chase Touts Away, and Live in Peace By Izuchukwu Adichie For two decades now, commercial activities in Onitsha Metropolitan have immensely diminished because of the despicable activities of touts on residents, traders, visitors, and commuters. From operation “Ndi Mpiawa Azu to FIAT”, it seems that the menace of touts can never be abolished due to illegal tax collections, wanton harassment, incessant damage to people’s property and goods, pick-pocketing, and pilfering particularly around Upper Iweka, Nkpor Junction, HeadBridge axis, among others. But with the coing of Soludo as a Governor, it is a thing of joy seeing him leading the war in front against touting and their aged-long despicable activities. We know Soludo as a man who likes taking on tough jobs and delivering on record time. When he assumed office, and criminals had taken over seven (7) local governments in the Anambra South including Ogbaru, he declared a manhunt and

ANTI-TOUTING: TO ALL “TOUTS” YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED IN ANAMBRA

Image
ANTI-TOUTING: TO ALL “TOUTS” YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED IN ANAMBRA By Izuchukwu Adichie Soludo understood the feelings of the people when during the gubernatorial campaign, they made a major request which was for him to end the menace of touts/agberos around the commercial hubs; ensure sanity in our roads and public places, make shopping and movements in the state pleasurable and Onitsha metropolitan to be great again. Like ‘touting’, Soludo has won the biggest war against criminal elements that took over the seven (7) local governments in the Anambra South and Ogbaru LG, and today, nightlife has returned in the major cities across the state. For Soludo, the menace of touting must be a forgotten story in the state, Onitsha urban center must rise back again to its past glory when it was known as a serene environment and shopping in our commercial hubs and movements must become pleasurable. We must ride off touts/agberos just as we collectively won a war against criminals in the state. This

SOLUDO LAUNCHES ANAMBRA SPECIAL ANTI-TOUTING SQUAD, DECLARES WAR ON TOUTING

Image
SOLUDO LAUNCHES ANAMBRA SPECIAL ANTI-TOUTING SQUAD, DECLARES WAR ON TOUTING By Christian ABURIME  Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has reiterated that the days of touts in the state are numbered and a full blown war has been declared on them. He maintained that in an environment where lawlessness has become a culture, bringing back law and order will be difficult. Governor Soludo made this statement during the launching of the Anambra Special Anti-Touting Squad held at Upper Iweka, Onitsha. In his speech, Governor Soludo congratulated members of the squad who have been found worthy and offered to serve, urging them to serve with commitment, passion, and diligence. He also advised them to adhere to laid down standards and the code of conduct guiding their operation  The Governor revealed that members of the anti-touting squad shall collaborate with the Nigerian Armed Forces who have the primary responsibility to keep the State safe. Governor Soludo pointed ou

SOLUDO, ALSO PRAY!

Image
SOLUDO, ALSO PRAY! By Izuchukwu Adichie Indeed, men of prayer are not perfect, but they are constantly seeking to grow in their relationship with God and live according to His will. I have heard several argument from some people that most of our leaders, maybe, because of their busy schedule finds it difficult to actively seek the face of God and listen to His voice, align their will with God’s will, and invite His divine guidance and wisdom to lead, to tap into His limitless power and become instruments of His will. Soludo has a different story, as an unusual leader he possesses a trait of prayer. I used to think the trait was developed or cultivated over time until I came close to him and learned about his prayerful lifestyle. Apart from his unfulfilled seminary journey, he is not just an erudite Professor of Economics, he is also a Prophet. As a Governor, every morning, on rotational services from Monday to Sunday, he leads prayers for different faiths at the Lodge; Pentecostal, An
